The Cleveland Cavaliers took care of business at home, dominating the San Antonio Spurs, 130-117, during their 2025-26 NBA regular season showdown on Saturday morning (Philippine Time) at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Star guard Donovan Mitchell led the way for the home squad, setting the tone with 28 points and 8 assists. Jaylon Tyson also had a huge outing, pouring in 24 markers and grabbing 6 rebounds in a display of balanced scoring against the young Spurs.

The Cavaliers' offense heated up in the third quarter, where their relentless scoring helped them build a massive 17-point lead. This comfortable cushion proved to be more than enough to stave off any serious threats from San Antonio for the remainder of the game.

Now standing at 14-10, Cleveland punched their way back into the win column, successfully breaking a recent slump. The Cavs will try to keep their momentum going when they host the Golden State Warriors tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Spurs (15-7), who absorbed the loss, will attempt to bounce back against the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow.

It is not surprising that the Spurs have lost games as many of their key players are currently injured

To be honest, the Spurs coach is the biggest weakness of the team, with no ability to make adjustments at all

the interior was completely overwhelmed by the opponent. There's nothing much to say. We're looking forward to WemBanyama's return as soon as possible.
