The San Antonio Spurs survived a late scare from the Orlando Magic, 114-112, during their clash in the 2025-26 NBA regular season on Thursday morning (PH time) at Kia Center.
Still playing without Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs leaned on the steady playmaking of veteran guard De’Aaron Fox, who finished with 31 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Fil-Am guard Dylan Harper also turned in a solid outing with 16 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Tied at 112 in the final seconds, Fox drew a foul on Jonathan Isaac with 1.4 remaining on the clock. He sank both free throws, leaving little time for the Magic to respond.
In the final possession, the Magic had a chance to tie, but Franz Wagner’s shot was blocked by Luke Kornett.
San Antonio controlled most of the game behind a strong first-half showing, but Orlando mounted a late charge, tying the game at 112 after Wagner drew a foul on a triple attempt and buried all three clutch free throws.
Now 15-6, the Spurs will look to claim a third straight win when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The Magic, who fell to 13-9, will aim to bounce back against the in-state rival Miami Heat on the same day.
