The Portland Trail Blazers finally snapped their three-game losing skid, recording a 122-110 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday (PH time) at Rocket Arena.
The Blazers used a balanced offensive attack to secure the road win, with three Portland players scoring at least 20 points each.
Avdija led all Portland scorers with 27 points. He shot 5-for-10 from the field and 16-for-17 from the free-throw line. He also had eight rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes of action.
Shaedon Sharpe and Caleb Love delivered off the bench for Portland, each scoring 20 points.
The Blazers took over in the second quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers 32-25 to build a 68-58 lead at the halftime break. They survived a late rally from the Cavs, finishing the game on a 9-2 run to improve their record to 9-13.
It was a disappointing defeat for the Cavaliers, who have now lost four of their last five games. Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley scored 33 and 23 points, respectively, for the Cavs, who fell to 13-10.
