Eli Rousseaux continued to shine for Farm Fresh as she delivered three of the last four points in the fourth set to fend off Choco Mucho’s late-game threat, 25-18, 25-13, 18-25, 26-24, and capture a top-three finish in Pool A in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Friday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City. The Flying Titans were close to forcing a decider with a 23-21 lead in the fourth, but Rousseaux came to the rescue with back-to-back kills to tie the frame before Rizza Cruz sent the Foxies to match point with an ace, 24-23.Cruz and Kat Tolentino traded service errors before Rousseaux scored her 27th point to seal the win and end the first round, winning four of their five games.Trisha Tubu supported their Belgian import with 17 points, while Ces Molina tallied 11 points, 12 excellent receptions, and eight digs.“I think it’s very important to have different abilities as a team to be able to win consistently,” Farm Fresh head coach Alessandro Lodi said

“And to try to be at the top of the league and of the conference.”
“I’m sure you have to play with quality and at times be able to dominate the games like we did in the first two sets but that is not normal. The opponents have the ability to play better and you cannot play the perfect game all the time. So you have to add the second ability which is to play gritty.”
Farm Fresh and PLDT battle Galeries Tower, Chery Tiggo, and either Petro Gazz or Akari in the next round.
Choco Mucho slid to 2-2, tied with Capital1 as they fight for the last top-three spot in Pool A on November 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Tolentino’s 12-point effort for the Flying Titans went for naught. Royse Tubino and Maddie Madayag had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
