The Philadelphia 76ers have exercised the team option on Jared McCain’s contract for the 2026–27 NBA season, according to league sources cited by journalist Michael Scotto. The option is valued at $4.42 million.

McCain, who impressed during his rookie campaign, appeared in 23 regular-season games last year, averaging 15.3 points per game while shooting 46% from the field and 38.3% from three-point range.

Unfortunately, the young guard suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his right thumb during preseason training. The 76ers have not provided a timetable for his return to action.
