Victor Wembanyama wouldn't let San Antonio's season end on Friday (PH time). The Spurs forced a winner-take-all Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals after they crushed the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-91 in Game 6 of their compelling playoff series at Frost Bank Center.
The Frenchman bounced back from his horrible performance in Game 5, recording 28 points and 10 rebounds in Game 6. He added 3 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists for the Spurs, who used a third-quarter surge to put the outcome beyond doubt.
San Antonio outscored OKC 32-13 in the third quarter, including a 20-2 run to close out that period. The Spurs never looked back after that as they lived to fight another day in this year's playoffs.
Dylan Harper dazzled off the bench with 18 points, while Stephon Castle had 17 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a team-high 15 points for the Thunder, who will need a victory in Game 7 for them to keep their title defense alive.
Game 7 will be held on Sunday at Paycom Center.
