The Oklahoma City Thunder remained in control after the third quarter of Game 5, building a 101-91 lead in their Western Conference Finals clash with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday (PH time) at Paycom Center.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for OKC, scoring 30 points and issuing 6 assists through three quarters. He shot 6-of-14 from the field and 16-of-17 from the free-throw line.
The Thunder opened the second half with a 16-7 run to grab an 85-65 lead in the middle stages of the third quarter.
San Antonio made several runs to chip away on OKC's 20-point advantage, but the Thunder held firm as they headed into the fourth quarter with their double-digit lead intact.
Julian Champagnie powered San Antonio's offense with 22 points. Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama added 19 and 16 points, respectively.
