The San Antonio Spurs bounced back in emphatic fashion, crushing the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 in a wire-to-wire Game 4 victory to even the Western Conference Finals on Monday morning (PH time) in San Antonio.
The Spurs came out aggressive from the opening tip and quickly established a double-digit lead in the first half. San Antonio continued piling it on in the second quarter while Oklahoma City struggled to generate momentum.
Victor Wembanyama electrified the home crowd before halftime by drilling a logo buzzer-beater to cap a dominant opening half.
San Antonio kept rolling in the third quarter, stretching the lead to a game-high 25 points behind the energy of Stephon Castle, whose hustle ignited another huge Spurs run.
The deficit became so overwhelming that Wembanyama was able to rest early in the fourth, while Thunder coach Mark Daigneault pulled Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the game with several minutes still remaining.
The Spurs dominated in transition, 18-7, and controlled the paint, outscoring OKC 50-36 inside.
With just over four minutes left, Dylan Harper punctuated the blowout with a thunderous slam as San Antonio cruised to the finish.
