Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson made history with their performances on Friday (PH time), leading the New York Knicks to a 109-93 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden.
Hart established a new playoff career-high, exploding for 26 points against the Cavs. He shot 10-for-21 from the field, including a 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. He also had 7 assists and 4 rebounds in 33 minutes of action.
Brunson was the Knicks' chief facilitator, dropping a whopping 14 assists in Game 2. That is the most by a New York player in a postseason game since Charlie Ward in 1998.
Brunson added 19 points for the Knicks, who grabbed a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
