Alex Eala will be tested immediately in the first round of the 2026 French Open after she was drawn to face No. 17 seed Iva Jovic on Thursday night (PH time).
Eala is seeking to win her first-ever match at Roland Garros after losing in the first round of the French Open last year.
Jovic has a 21-10 win-loss record this season. Eala, who is ranked No. 38 in the world, has an 18-12 record, including a 4-5 slate on clay this year.
