Bol Bol finished with 40 points as TNT finally picked up a win in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner's Cup, beating NLEX, 103-97, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City last Sunday.
The effort of Bol who also had 15 rebounds and two blocks gave the Tropang 5G their first victory after their opening game loss to Rain or Shine.
Bol started an 8-0 run to turn a 91-89 deficit to a 97-91 lead on its way to the victory.

Tropang 5G held a six-point lead as the clock winds down, but Robert Bolick shot a clutch four-pointer to slash TNT's advantage to 99-97. However, Calvin Oftana was hit in the face as Bolick took his shot, momentarily stopping the game.
A flagrant foul 1 was called on Bolick following the play, ejecting him from the game while Oftana drilled his four freebies to get to the final score.

Earlier, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser drilled a timely triple to break a 91-all deadlock, followed by a crucial steal that allowed Jordan Heading to slip a layup to push Tropang 5G ahead with 1:43 remaining in the ball game.
It was a nip-and-tuck battle throughout, with NLEX holding a 79-74 edge before momentum swung in TNT’s favor. An 8-2 burst, fueled by back-to-back triples from Bol Bol, allowed Tropang 5G to regain control 82-81 enroute to the win.

For TNT locals, Ganuelas-Rosser and Heading had 14 and 13 markers, respectively. Lalanne paced NLEX with 25 points, 21 rebounds, and three blocks.
