The reigning MPL PH champion said in a statement that the 20-year-old gold laner is still working on pending administrative requirements, which have temporarily delayed his much-anticipated debut.

AeronnShikii joined Team Liquid PH at the last minute following the sudden departure of star gold laner Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, whom the team has since placed on its inactive list.

“We would like to inform everyone that AeronnShikii will not be participating in Week 1 of MPL PH Season 17 due to pending administrative requirements related to the competition,” said the team in a Facebook post.

Team Liquid PH braces for a tough opening week, taking on reigning world champion Aurora on Friday before facing Twisted Minds on Saturday, all without Aeronshiki as he continues to complete his requirements.

With the Indonesian star out, Team Liquid PH will have to rely on rookie gold laner Kim “Daiki” Sebanes to step up in their first two games and fill the void left in the lineup.
