Laure finished with 19 points, 13 excellent receptions and 10 digs before getting hurt while diving for the ball with Choco Mucho trailing 9-4 in the fourth set. She went to the locker room and did not return in the Flying Titans’ 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 loss to Creamline in front of 12,600 fans.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin said Laure is “okay.”
Sisi Rondina, who scored 15 points, said Laure aggravated a recurring groin injury. Laure had previously dealt with an abdominal strain before the Southeast Asian Games and returned during the semifinal and bronze-medal match.

“She’s really had issues with her groin even before, and she also had a strain in her abs. I think it just got aggravated earlier. She’ll have a checkup tomorrow, and hopefully she can come back for the next game,” Rondina said in Filipino.
The Flying Titans face Capital1 next week at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
