The Golden State Warriors pulled off a stunning comeback at home, overcoming the absence of Stephen Curry and erasing a 17-point deficit to edge the Memphis Grizzlies, 114–113, on Tuesday (PH Time) and extend Memphis’ losing streak to three games.
Both teams traded buckets early, ending the first quarter deadlocked at 32-all. The Grizzlies stayed hot in the second period as the Warriors cooled off, allowing Memphis to build an eight-point cushion at halftime. Coming out of the break, the visitors seized full control with a 17–7 run to open the third, pushing their lead to double digits and heading into the fourth up by 13.
Memphis appeared in control for most of the final frame, maintaining a lead hovering around 10 points. But the game flipped dramatically in the closing minutes. The Grizzlies went scoreless over the final 4 minutes and 19 seconds, committing costly turnovers that fueled an 11–0 Warriors run.
Gui Santos delivered the decisive blow, converting a go-ahead layup with 19 seconds remaining. Memphis had multiple chances in the final moments but came up empty, sealing Golden State’s improbable win.
Seven Warriors finished in double figures, paced by Pat Spencer’s team-high 17 points. Veteran Al Horford added a strong all-around effort with 16 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
Ty Jerome led the Grizzlies with 19 points in the loss.
Up next, the Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs on February 12, while the Grizzlies head to Denver to face the Nuggets on the same day.
