Golden State snapped its losing streak with a gutsy 101-97 road win over the Phoenix Suns, despite missing Steph Curry. Phoenix, without Devin Booker and Jalen Green, couldn’t hold on after building a late double-digit lead.
The first half was back-and-forth, with the Warriors up by four at the break. The Suns then unleashed a 20-5 run spanning the end of the third and start of the fourth, taking control. But Phoenix went cold for nearly four minutes late, allowing Golden State to storm back. Santos’ layup with 28 seconds left gave the Warriors the lead, and De’Anthony Melton sealed it after Dillon Brooks’ missed three-pointer, capping a 10-0 run.
Five Warriors scored in double figures, led by Pat Spencer’s 20 points. Brooks had 24 for Phoenix.
Next up: the Suns host the 76ers, and the Warriors visit the Lakers—both on Feb. 8.
