San Miguel held on to a 70-68 lead over TNT in the third quarter of Game 6 of the PBA 50 Philippine Cup this Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Beermen managed to stay in control even as TNT Tropang 5G won the quarter, 29-21, trimming the Beermen’s cushion.
The Tropang 5G briefly seized the lead after a clutch three-pointer from Jordan Heading, but Don Trollano answered right back with a layup to restore San Miguel’s advantage.
June Mar Fajardo anchored the Beermen with a dominant double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds, while CJ Perez chipped in 16 points.
For TNT, Calvin Oftana carried the scoring load, pouring in a game-high 28 points and seven rebounds.
