Aurora PH clinched a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Selangor Red Giants, punching their ticket to their first-ever Grand Final at the M7 Championships last Thursday at Tennis Indoor Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Filipino squad showed incredible resilience, bouncing back to win Games 4 and 5 after dropping Games 2 and 3 in the best-of-five series.
Aurora relied on discipline and precise map control in the decisive Game 5, capitalizing on SRG’s critical error of contesting the Lord. The mistake led to a full wipeout of the Malaysian squad, clearing the path for Aurora to push to the base and close out the series.
The triumph also extended the Philippines’ remarkable streak, marking five consecutive years of Grand Final appearances for Filipino teams at the prestigious Mobile Legends tournament.
Aurora will now await the winner of the lower bracket clash, with the Grand Final set to take place on Sunday, January 25.
