Mo Bamba is set to sign a one-year contract with the Toronto Raptors, according to ESPN insider Shams Charania.
Bamba’s addition is expected to bolster Toronto’s frontcourt rotation, with Jakob Poeltl sidelined by a back injury and the team largely relying on undersized big Sandro Mamukelashvili to anchor the interior.
The 7-foot Bamba previously played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League this season, averaging 16.5 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks across 14 games.
He has also played for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, LA Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA.
Meanwhile, the Raptors recently improved to 19-14 after a 141-127 overtime win over the Golden State Warriors on Monday (PH time).
