The Los Angeles Clippers overcame a slow start and surged in the second half to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers 119-103, extending their winning streak to three games while handing Portland its third straight loss.
The Trail Blazers controlled the opening quarter behind Deni Avdija, building a double-digit lead with sharp offensive execution. Los Angeles gradually clawed back, sparked by Brook Lopez and James Harden, before taking full control in the third quarter with a decisive 16–0 run. The Clippers seized the lead during that stretch and never relinquished it, pulling away down the stretch.
Lopez delivered his best performance of the season, finishing with a season-high 31 points and knocking down a career-high nine three-pointers. Harden led all scorers with 34 points, while Kawhi Leonard added 28 points, highlighted by an emphatic transition dunk that energized the comeback.
Avdija led Portland with an all-around effort of 29 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, but the Trail Blazers were unable to recover after Los Angeles’ third-quarter surge.
The Clippers will return home to host the Detroit Pistons on December 29, while the Trail Blazers remain at home to face the Boston Celtics the same day.
