Nikola Jokić delivered one of the most remarkable performances in NBA history, powering the Denver Nuggets to a 142-138 overtime victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Nuggets center played 43 minutes, shooting 15-of-21 from the field, 4-of-6 from three, and 22-of-23 from the free-throw line, finishing with 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists.
Jokić’s night was historic on multiple fronts:
First player in NBA history with 55+ points, 15+ rebounds, and 15+ assists in a single game.
First player with multiple 55+ point triple-doubles, after a previous 61-point outing.
Scored the third-most points on Christmas Day, trailing only Bernard King (60) and Wilt Chamberlain (59).
Set an NBA record with 18 points in overtime, surpassing Stephen Curry’s previous mark of 17.
Jokić’s all-time masterpiece not only carried the Nuggets to a hard-fought win but also reinforced his status as one of the game’s most uniquely dominant players.
