2025 NBA Christmas Game Preview: Flagg to make NBA Christmas Day debut in Mavs’ game vs Warriors

All eyes will be on Cooper Flagg as he is set to make his much-anticipated NBA Christmas Game debut this coming Friday (PH time) in the Dallas Mavericks’ clash against the Golden State Warriors.
Flagg is coming off a spectacular performance during Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, recording 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in Dallas’ 131-130 win. He has been one of the few bright spots for the Mavs this season, averaging a team-best 19.2 points per game.
Flagg and the Mavs will face a Warriors team that has been grabbing the wrong headlines recently. Draymond Green had a heated argument with Golden State head coach Steve Kerr during the Warriors’ last game against the Orlando Magic, leading to the former leaving the floor early.
The Warriors have evened their overall record to 15-15 after winning the first two games of their three-game home stand against Phoenix and Orlando. They will look to complete a sweep against the Mavs, who have won four of their last seven games.
This will be the first meeting between Dallas and Golden State this season. Stephen Curry continues to be a key weapon for the Warriors, averaging 26.0 points in the last 10 games. He scored 26 points and issued 6 assists in Golden State’s 120-97 win over Orlando last Tuesday.
