The Minnesota Timberwolves took care of a shorthanded New York Knicks side, pulling away for a 115-104 victory in their 2025-26 NBA regular season clash on Wednesday morning (PH time) at Target Center in Minneapolis.
Anthony Edwards carried the Wolves with a game-high 38 points, adding 4 steals and 2 assists to power Minnesota to its third straight win.
New York showed fight despite missing Jalen Brunson, erasing a 16-point deficit with a 17-3 surge in the third quarter. But Minnesota quickly answered, regrouping to reclaim control and build a six-point cushion heading into the fourth.
Julius Randle ignited the decisive run, drilling a short jumper before intercepting a pass for a fastbreak slam that stretched the Wolves’ lead to 97-85 with 6:51 remaining. Randle poured in 17 of his points in the final period. Donte DiVincenzo later buried a three to push the advantage to a game-high 17.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart tried to keep New York within striking distance with timely baskets, trimming the margin to 109-100, but Minnesota’s cushion proved too comfortable down the stretch.
The Timberwolves improved to 20-10 and will look to extend their winning streak to four when they host the Denver Nuggets on Christmas Day (Dec. 26, PH time).
