The Brooklyn Nets went on the road and pulled off a 114–106 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, extending their winning streak to two games while snapping the Sixers’ own two-game run. Philadelphia was shorthanded, playing without rising star V.J. Edgecombe, who sat out due to illness.

The game was deadlocked at 27–27 after the first quarter, but Brooklyn gradually took control behind a sharp offensive display and balanced scoring. The Nets built a double-digit cushion in the middle quarters and withstood a late fourth-quarter push from the 76ers to secure the win.

Michael Porter Jr. was the clear standout, pouring in a game-high 28 points. He set the tone early, scoring 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the opening quarter and erupting for 25 points in the first half, putting Philadelphia on its heels from the start.

For the 76ers, Joel Embiid was strong despite a mid-game scare. He had 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the first half before briefly exiting early in the third quarter due to injury, eventually returning to finish with 27 points. Tyrese Maxey struggled offensively, limited to 13 points on 3-of-14 shooting.

Up next, the 76ers visit the Chicago Bulls on December 27, while the Nets travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 28.

hot commentThe Nets may seem to have won this game, but in the race for next year's No. 1 pick, they are undoubtedly losers, haha

Joel Embiid finished this game +1 with 27 points on 62% shooting which tells you all you need to know about how ridiculously bad Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and Jared McCain were tonight.

Embarrassing I don’t care if players are sick we can’t lose these type of games… Can’t waste the easy games on our schedule

Joel Embiid has done his best, and to be honest, Tyrese Maxey still has a long way to go to become a superstar
