The Minnesota Timberwolves escaped with a 103-100 home victory over the Milwaukee Bucks behind a third quarter point explosion from bench players in the NBA regular season this Monday (PH time) at the Target Center.

From 16 markers down in the first half, the Timberwolves' bench recorded a 31-point contribution in the second quarter to help the team establish a 20-0 run for a 73-68 Minnesota lead at the 2:59 mark in the third stanza.

It took a long two from Ryan Rollins at 2:25 to check Minnesota's run as both teams failed to make their marks from long range.

Milwaukee challenged a defensive foul on Kevin Porter Jr., but the referees ruled in favor of Minnesota as the Timberwolves shot two free throws.

Despite a quick three from Porter Jr. at the 0.05 mark, Anthony Edwards' lay-up 21 seconds before iced the game for Minnesota as the Timberwolves recorded their 10th win in 13 games.

Edwards scored highest for Minnesota with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and six assists in 36 minutes of play.
