The Charlotte Hornets secured a 133–126 home win over the Atlanta Hawks, marking a two-game winning streak and ending a five-game skid against Atlanta.

Both teams saw the return of their star guards from injury, with LaMelo Ball suiting up for the Hornets and Trae Young back for the Hawks.

Charlotte built a 12-point lead through three quarters behind standout performances from Ball and Brandon Miller.

The Hornets also tied the NBA record for three-pointers in a half, knocking down 18 in the first two quarters.

Atlanta mounted a furious fourth-quarter rally behind Jalen Johnson and Alexander-Walker, cutting the deficit to one point with 2:25 remaining.

Ball responded with a seven-point personal run, including a crucial three-pointer, to seal the victory.

He finished with 28 points and 13 assists, while rookie Kneuppel added 28 points and Miller contributed 26.

Trae Young’s return was quiet, with eight points and 10 assists, while Jalen Johnson exploded for a career-high 43 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.
Alexander-Walker added 28 points in the loss for Atlanta.

The Hornets will host the Detroit Pistons on December 21, and the Hawks face the San Antonio Spurs in a back-to-back matchup.

Basketball Note
When Ball is healthy, he remains one of the best young point guards in the league!

The Hawks can trade away Trae Young, as Jalen Johnson is their true core!
